Reviews
We came to this gym for the first time and were very impressed with the customer service. The administrators were very kind and allowed us to tour the club and offered us a free guest pass for one week. First impression: excellent fitness equipment, clean pool and jacuzzi. There were few people in the gym on Saturday.
#1 Gym in the area. Friendly staff. Non-judgmental patrons, plenty of classes. Has a swimming pool and sauna I frequent often. Upstairs has great natural views of Woodinville while working out. Management is pretty excellent too! They also have very clean locker rooms that they frequently maintain!
I hate this gym. 2 stars because it’s better than the 24 hour fitness down the street, but if you’re under 5’3” you WILL NOT be able to bench or have the squat rack at a comfortable height for setting up, and all of the leg press machines have a gross curve on them. Mind you, I’m 5’2.5” and the leg press machines don’t go deep enough for a true leg press. This is an aesthetic body builder gym, not a power lifting gym. Also, the customer service from the hours of 5am- 7am is flat out rude. First time trying out the gym I asked the “personal trainer” Steve if the gym had a 35lb. bar that could be used for Olympic style lifting and he said “I don’t know.”
Today (1/21/2024) I went to let staff at the front desk know that the third floor prone leg curl machine weight is shaking and wavering on the track with the initial pull and coming down release back to neutral- which makes for an unstable lift. Boy at front desk said “that sounds like a you problem” and stared at me like I was bothering him. Just can’t win with a gym in this area. I didn’t want to pay $85/ month so I signed up for the annual contract at $65/ month. I’m stuck with this bummy gym with subpar equipment for a year now. Very upsetting.
While recounting what an awful experience I had at LA Fitness, I realized how great my experience was at Gold's Gym. The staff were always friendly, remembered me by name, they had amazing and very clean amenities (my favorite being the cardio cinema). A lot of the attendees are retirees and they're all so sweet.
Cleanest big name gym (24, LA, golds etc) I’ve ever been to. I’m thoroughly impressed with the staff and facilities. Owner is fantastic and friendly too while working out. Requires everyone to carry a cleaning bottle around which takes some getting used to but it explained why the gym is so clean too.
I have appreciated the facilities at Gold’s Gym, particularly their swimming pool, which I frequently use post-workout or after work. Due to my busy schedule, my visits have predominantly been during the evening. Recently, there have been changes to the lap swimming schedule, which were not communicated in advance. As of the past few weeks, there has been no clarity on the updated timings for lap swimming. I've noticed a discrepancy between the timings mentioned on their website and the schedule displayed at the pool. Upon discussing this with the swim instructor, I encountered a dismissive attitude and let me know how "wrong" I was. Until the schedule discrepancies are addressed, I would advise potential swimmers to be prepared for no lane availability during the posted evening lap swim hours or a correction of the currently posted swimming times.
This gym is deceptive and awful in their business practice. They tell you it's a monthly fee, but don't tell you there's an additional yearly fee even if you're paying 'month to month'. Not to mention if you're injured or unable to come to the gym for a bit, they charge you money to 'freeze' your account. Want to cancel? Charge for that too. I wound up getting injured at their gym and they tried to charge me near $200 to stop paying monthly! Not to mention suddenly 'nothing' can be done in person and you need to sign up to some awful third party website to even manage your account. Terrible, deceptive and disgusting practice Golds Gym. I'd give you 0 stars if I could.
1. Charge is not clear.
2. Policy changes frequently and without notice.
3. Cancellation process is extremely difficult for customer which makes me feel like being trapped there.
There is monthly fee charged from my account even I have a written notice to them to cancel my membership and got confirmation my membership was cancelled.
The conversation with front desk and the process about enroll and cancel are nightmares.
PLEASE USE OTHER GYM IF YOU CAN.
